A Madness of Angels

A Madness of Angels - Kate Griffin

I never minded the big 4-0. In fact, now that I'm older, I'm taking a ridiculous kind of pleasure in generational differences, particularly the company of those that understand my frequent references to cultural touchpoints long past. No doubt, this is one of those things that you will get, or not, but when the phrase:

"We be light, we be life, we be fire! We sing electric flame, we rumble underground wind, we dance heaven! Come be we and be free" was frequently repeated with the phrase "electric blue," I could only hear:

Fame was my second instance of the high school musical (the first being, of course, Grease), one of my favorites for many years and likely the cause of my secret desire to be able to dance and perform (an introvert! the power of media!)

So perhaps I was strongly predisposed to like it, between Bookaneer's review and Fame. But like it I did.
